New Engagement Rings in Cambridge

 

We are always designing and making new engagement rings for our two design studios, but we have recently finished some really lovely ones which I think are worth talking about. We've designed these especially with that wonderfully romantic Christmas proposal in mind, so plenty of sparkle in classic enduring designs with that unique Harriet Kelsall Jewellery Design contemporary twist.

White gold illusion set delicate diamond engagement ring

This delicate engagement ring holds a 2.5mm 0.07cts brilliant cut H SI white diamond in a round illusion plate with grained and beaded details. This plate is held up in a tapering 9ct white gold rhodium finished band which is about 2.5mm wide at the back. This clever design uses a Victorian illusion setting style in a contemporary way and this enhances the apparent size of the diamond, making it appear more like a 0.33 cts diamond.

This is a really special palladium and recycled diamond solitaire engagement ring. A delicate design with very straight lines giving it a really modern look. The 3.4mm (0.17ct) H VS/SI brilliant cut recycled diamond has been set in an end-only setting reminiscent of a tension set ring, but with more support so it's much safer to wear. The band is 2.5mm wide and has a flat profile. The combination of the palladium (which is not mined for itself) and the recycled diamond mean that this is also a really interesting engagement ring in ethical terms. So a wonderful option for the lady for whom making ethical choices is just as important as wearing beautiful elegant jewellery.

The crisp clean lines of the setting and band compliment the princess cut green sapphire beautifully. This delicate yet robust palladium band measures approximately 2.5mm wide and 1.7mm deep all the way round to meet a pretty, sparkling and natural African green princess cut sapphire measuring 3.6mm x 3.6mm 0.34ct. It is held in place in an end only setting with round window light detail to the outer sides. Two 1.5mm brilliant cut diamonds have been invisibly set into the shoulders for that added sparkle. Beautiful!!!!

18ct white gold and ruby engagement ring

The gorgeous scissor cut 6x2.4mm ruby in this engagement ring has been set in an end-only setting to keep it feeling fairly open while protecting the ends of the stones. The 3mm wide band has cross hatched shoulders that is also continued into the side of the setting and reflects the unusual facet pattern of the ruby.
