Once the date was set for my wedding, I decided I would make my own wedding ring. Not having an engagement ring (by choice!), I wanted a stone incorporated into my wedding ring. I chose my favourite gemstone, a blue moonstone. This particular one was a very rare Burmese moonstone with a beautiful blue sheen. I used 9ct white gold as I love the colour of this metal; white with a soft hint of yellow. I made a wide flat band and a simple all around setting for my blue moonstone. I am very proud to be able to say I have made my own wedding ring.
