Trillion Cut Stones

Trillion cut stones are one of my favourite cuts. I have a ring, designed by Antoinette Corbishley which is often seen on my hand, I absolutely love it! As you can see from the picture below its a laser cut trillion garnet sitting on white gold setting with rose and white gold band.

Trillion cut garnet

A trillion, also known as trilliant, cut is triangular shaped with pointed or slightly rounded corners. In particular when used on a diamond it will catch the light beautifully and gives it such a sparkle and fire. This is due to the way its cut with 25 facets on the crown, and 19 facets on the pavilion. The crown is the upper part of the diamond above the girdle. The girdle is the narrow rim around the diamond.

Below are pieces of jewellery we have made that are either in our collections at Halls Green and Cambridge or are already being worn by lucky ladies out there!

Trillion cut stone can also be used as a side stone as well as a central stone.

I hope you enjoy looking at our designs using such an attractive cut of stone.
