Fan shaped Art Deco inspired 0.88ct deep green tourmaline engagement ring

Since my very first day at Halls Green I have had my eye on this fantastic engagement ring (no pun intended) that is currently for sale in our ready to wear collection. Every time I help out in the showroom I have to have another not so sneaky look at it. It is by far one of my favourite rings to date and would definitely say it is in my top three.

The ring was designed by Rebecca and incorporates an amazing 0.88ct Tourmaline that has been unusually cut into a fan shape. What makes this ring even extra beautiful is not only the cut of the main stone but also the way in which the color of the tourmaline changes depending at which angle you are looking. At some angles it is a lovely rich dark green and from others appears to have shots of teal - this ring definitely has the wow factor.

The band of the ring is about 2-2.5mm wide at the back and splits towards the front. Towards the sides of the band are invisibly set 1.5mm diamonds just to add extra sparkle around the central stones.

Now the thing that is the icing on the cake for me and has definitely secured this ring a place in my top three is not only the fan shaped main stone but the fact that this stone is flanked by two tapered baguette diamonds - my favourite gemstone cut of all time. Tapered baguette stones are often used as shoulder stones either side of a central stone, below are a few examples of designs using baguette cut stones.

We currently have some beautiful tapered baguette stones in stock ranging from deep Amethysts to vibrant, yellow Sapphires, in a range of sizes that are crying out to be used in exciting commission!

If like me you love the clean crisp lines of a tapered cut stone, they can also make a striking central stone and focal point

And finally if one is not enough why not use three! When set side by side three tapered baguette stones can also create a wow-factor fan shaped ring of their very own...
