Reusing Gold

I have just updated out website to reflect that fact that it is now sometimes cheaper to reusing old gold (if you are re-designing an old ring) than it is to buy new gold.

The price of gold has gone up recently and this fact hasn't been the case before although it should be noted that this is only really true if we are talking about a lot of gold and gold of a high carat value (18ct or 22ct).

So, for customers who are thinking of reusing their old gold there is now three reasons to consider this. Firstly for sentimental reasons - perhaps you are thinking of keeping the gold from a grandparent's ring. Secondly for ethical reasons - to avoid the need for mining and refining new gold. And lastly for financial reasons - assuming its high carat gold and a lot of it!
