Turquoise

Turquoise is my Mum's favorite gemstone, below is a pendant Antoinette Corbishley designed especially for her. Earrings are next on the agenda!

Other pieces of jewellery we've commissioned incorporating turquoise include this bespoke engagement ring.

And this bespoke 9ct white gold and turquoise ring.

One place I've always fancied going to, and I will one day, is Egypt. They have a love for turquoise there.

The Egyptian use of turquoise stretches back as far as the First Dynasty and I'm sure earlier; however, probably the most well-known pieces incorporating the gem are those recovered from Tutankhamun's tomb, most notably the Pharaoh's iconic burial mask which was generously inlaid with the stone.

It's an amazing stone, used for such significant pieces in history!!
