Handmade Bookmark

 

You may have read in an earlier blog that Ali, our General Manager, has left to become a foster parent. We were all very sad to see her go and wanted to give her something special that will be a reminder of her time here. Naturally, she has built up quite a collection of jewellery over the last seven years, so, as she loves to read, we decided that a silver bookmark would be a good idea. This was made by Deborah, one of our makers and also our Accounts Manager (she is so versatile) and we then had a beautiful flower engraved on the front and an inscription on the back. Ali was absolutely thrilled with our gift and will be able to enjoy it for many years to come.

That is the beauty of making everything from scratch on the premises. You can basically choose whatever you want and finish with something beautiful that can be treasured.

Hopefully, Ali will think of us all when she gets time to relax with a new novel and a cup of tea.
