I thought I would highlight to you the magnificent work that our workshop team do. Rachael, Ryan, Richard, Chun Shang, Debs and Vic our stone setter are all highly skilled in creating the beautiful jewellery you see here at Harriet Kelsall Jewellery Design.
Everything is made by hand; it is truly amazing how they can transform the designs finalised in the appointment to a stunning piece of jewellery which is to be loved and cherished forever.
I am sure you can appreciate that as all of our jewellery is handmade, it cannot simply be made overnight. The commissioned piece will go through many stages before it is finished, being checked throughout by your designer to make sure it is completely perfect for you.
Once the design is finalised the designer will get on to ordering the correct materials for your commission. If stones are to be incorporated then these may need to be sourced. Our project management team can then schedule in the commission, as there can by many jobs going through at the same time.
It will then be able to go through its first making and checking stages. This is where the designer can first see the design come to life, and any initial tweaks can be made. Hallmarking will follow along with more making stages before it is ready to be polished and then arrive at its final checking stage.
The commission can take around 6 weeks but can be more or less depending on the complexity of the design. Other factors to take in to consideration are if you would like to incorporate engraving or have chosen to have the piece rhodium plated.
All the time and effort that goes in to each commissioned piece shows just how much care and appreciation we have in creating the perfect item of jewellery for you, and also highlights just how skilled and thorough our workshop team are.
To receive an item of jewellery that you know has been specially commissioned and handmade for you using traditional skills, really does provide that extra wow factor.
