I have also come across some interesting and unusual simple cuts, rather than shaped like horses, or butterflies as in previous blogs.
This rectangular cut Is interesting and quite shallow and simple but does give an interesting low key look. This kind of low number of facets will lead to a diamond which doesn't give so much 'bling' as some but might be perfect for somebody who isn't really into sparkle but would like an interesting and elegant design.
These interesting variations would look wonderful in a simple Art Deco inspired engagement ring. The quality of one of them looks a little included from the picture, but it is impossible to really tell the quality of a diamond without seeing it in front of you.
We have set some interesting kite cuts and geometric stone shapes before here are just a handful of the many examples
And this ring shows a ring inspired by a kite which actually used a lovely princess cut diamond rather than a kite shape.
