As Valentine's day is getting closer I wanted to share a romantic story with you all about one of Rebecca's recent customers who have a lovely story to tell about their engagement. Craig and Louise went on a very memorable holiday to Canada, their trip took them driving through the Canadian Rockies where Craig proposed to Louise on Lake Louise in a canoe, it all went beautifully to plan!

As you can see from above, the scenery they saw was breathtaking and they both wanted to reflect the beautiful colours of the lakes (Lake Louise, Lake Peyto and Emerald Lake) as well as the clear blue skies into the side stones adding a very special touch to the central diamond they both knew they wanted.
They were recommended to us by a friend of theirs who previously had a ring designed by ourselves, Louise wanted a classic design but wanted to add that personal element for them both. Once they had an initial appointment with Rebecca and had discussed different ideas, they decided to go for some sketches which showed different variations of the tapering band as well as the side stones varying between invisibly, pave and channel setting also graduating in colour or size. As soon as they received the sketches they both immediately knew which design was perfect! Option four. With the side stones graduating in both size and colour with a six claw setting and the band tapering into the diamond, setting the stone off beautifully.

Both Craig and Louise came into the studio to view a couple of different quality diamonds and decided to go for a stunning brilliant cut 0.70ct diamond which was D in colour and SI1 in quality. The deep shade of the 2mm blue sapphire and the 1.75mm clear blue colour of the topaz alongside the 1.5mm diamond channel set into each shoulder compliment the diamond beautifully as well as working perfectly with the D shaped tapering band.
