Speech by Edward Zwick on Jewellery Ethics

 

Hi, it's me again(!)

I've been doing some more research into the ethics of the jewellery industry and came across a very interesting website for an organisation called Partnership Africa Canada and through them, the Diamond Development Initiative. Among other fascinating articles on the site, one that particularly caught my eye was a transcript of a speech given by Edward Zwick (the director of the film Blood Diamond) at the Rapaport International Diamond Conference back in February. I was so pleased to know how passionate he had become about conflict diamonds and that he genuinely wants to make a difference in Africa to those who have been affected by the conflicts.
