This pair of engagement and wedding rings simply represent the graduation in the sky with a rising sun. The 0.23ct brilliant cut treated gold diamond sits in a 18ct white gold all around setting raised above the edge of the band. Both bands are flat with a depth and width of about 2mm so sit perfectly together with their complimentary colours.
The treatment of this diamond is a special process using state-of-the-art technology to produce this beautiful and permanent colour change. The treatment means that the ring must not be heated up to very high temperatures (eg by a jeweller during resizing of the ring) or cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner so special care needs to be taken when resizing this ring in the future and the stone must be carefully removed and re-set during any future resizing work. These are sold as a set. This design is one in a small collection of designs by Harriet inspired by the rising and setting sun - each of which is unique.
