Mel wanted something unusual and yet still subtle for his proposal. He knew she loved watermelon tourmalines but we were all worried about the combination of green and pink being a little too strong for her engagement ring on her subtle colouring. So we decided on this beautiful fine pink 0.76cts tourmaline - a classy dusty pink colour. This was set in a way which opened up the side of the stone completely to reveal the tip of the gemstone. The setting lip was smooth as Sarah is a practical girl who uses her hands a lot and wouldn't want something that would catch too much. The 2mm H SI brilliant cut shoulder diamonds contrast with the colour beautifully and just give a little sparkle.
