White gold pale lilac sapphire and diamond engagement ring
This lovely engagement ring holds a round brilliant cut lilac sapphire weighing 0.53ct in a simple and elegant 18ct white gold all around setting with a very delicate setting lip. The band of the ring has split shoulders which hold 1.5mm H SI fully brilliant cut white diamonds which appear to be suspended between the split. The band of the ring which is made from 9ct white gold measures just under 4mm wide at the shoulders and tapers gently down to about 2mm wide at the back. The use of the higher carat gold on the setting is to achieve this very delicate setting edge. The whole ring has been rhodium finished for extra whiteness of the metal. Due to the mixed metal hallmarking regulations this ring has been hallmarked (and priced) as though it was all 9ct despite the higher value setting chosen for design effect.
