Amethyst, the birth stone for February, is said to signify sincerety - historically this meant a sober and serious mind! Popular in the 19th century for its beautiful purple colour, it ranges in shade from pale lilac to deep mauve.
  As natural materials are used and
  all of our jewellery is hand made,
  slight variations in colour
  and size may occur
