Rebecca Howarth

Rebecca is a graduate from Sheffield Hallam University, where she gained a 2:1 BA honours degree in Metalwork and Jewellery, which followed an Art and Design Foundation Diploma from Hertfordshire University.

In 2002 Rebecca won first place in the "Sheffield Hallam University Mace Competition". This competition was to design and co-ordinate the making of the new Sheffield Hallam University Mace - and she is very proud to have received this commission from the University for such an important piece. Also in 2002, Rebecca was awarded second place in the "Made in Sheffield" Award - a competition to design and make a trophy for the most outstanding business in Sheffield and March 2004 saw her recieve a "Silver Award" from the "Goldsmith's Craft and Design Council Award 2004"

Rebecca has exhibited at the "New Designers 2004" exhibition in London, "Strike" - a BA and MA Exhibition of Contempory Metalwork and Jewellery in The Yorkshire Art Space in Sheffield, The Goldsmiths Hall Exhibition of Craft and Design Council Awards" in March 2004, and the "Fabricate 2003" Exhibition in Sheffield.

Rebecca joined Harriet Kelsall Jewellery Design in the Summer of 2004.
