At Harriet Kelsall Jewellery Design, we believe that we offer one of the best custom made engagement ring services in the UK and we do this by combining the best in young graduate design talent with the best in skilled and experienced craftsmanship.
Our six designers - Harriet, Antoinette, Rebecca, Alice, Kerrie and Tracy begin the process with a design consultation (face to face or on the phone) where they combine their skill, design flair and experience with their customer's own ideas, style and budget to produce the final working design.
Each customer is of course different - some come with a fixed idea about what they want and our designers are very happy to work this into a practical design. Some come with a much more fluid brief and in this case the designer will talk about prefered styles and perhaps draw inspiration from hobbies or aspects of each customer's life. Either way, each custom made design is created to strickly match each customer's individual budget.
When the design is finalised it is passed over to Richard or one of his team of the best goldsmiths in the business under the watchful eye of Alison Harding our project manager. Precious metal is sourced from our bullion dealer and worked into shape and the stones are sourced from our network of dealers around the world offering the best quality and prices available anywhere.
The shank and collet can then be formed by hand - a skilled and time consuming process and the engagement ring is then hallmarked in London guaranteeing its purity - a legal requirement in the UK. The stone is then set and the ring polished.
