In recent years and with the advent of the internet, many online retailers are offering a 'design your own ring online' feature to their sites. They use the word 'design' but not in the same way as we do!
Design to us is a collaboration between a properly qualified designer and each customer as an individual. This includes a face to face or phone consultation where a unique design is thought through with ideas from both sides taking inspiration from many sources - the customer's prefered style or look, their hobbies or pastimes for example. Underlying the thought process is how much the customer wants to spend and we are proud to be able to offer this service to wedding ring customers regardless of budget.
The online web features on some other sites are standard cast designs from a catalogue that are available to retailers in a variety of sizes which can fit a few different sized and shaped standard stones. The design of these cast shanks has already been done and as they are cast in there thousands there is certainly nothing unique about the end result!!
