Are you a design graduation interested in a career in jewellery design?

We are always interested in hearing from anyone with a design degree interested in working towards becoming a designer here at Harriet Kelsall Jewellery Design.

Junior entry positions are very varied and designed to give people a broad understanding of all aspects of bespoke jewellery design before progressing through a junior designer position and ultimately a designer position in our exciting and vibrant company.

The work will include some or all of the following:

  • A period of time working in our busy shop in the historic city centre of Cambridge
  • Some time spent assisting our project manager who is always juggling 200 or so jewellery commissions and their progress through the workshop
  • A period of time answering email enquiries generated through our website under the supervision of the sales manager.
  • Generally assisting in the office and the design department.

Assistants who show aptitude and commitment will progress to full design assistants working exclusively with the designers on bespoke jewellery projects - meeting customers and getting fully emersed in the exciting day to day life of our busy design department.

The right people will be passionate about jewellery, creative, practical, a three-dimensional thinker and good at working in a team environment. A confident communicator, and they will also be conscientious, well presented and hard-working.

The full-time hours are 5 days per week and applicants must expect to work Saturdays.
