A courting profile is sometimes refered to a 'comfort fit'. This is because it was invented to give people a more comfortable fitted ring.
As we handmake all of our engagement rings and don't cut them off pre-formed tubes, we can adjust the amount of curvature to suit your unique design and your particular tastes.
