General Information on Fake Pave Finished Engagement Rings

We have designed and handmade a number of engagement rings using what we describe as 'fake pave'. This is essentially the same technique as pave setting stones into a ring, except that at the point where the stones would be set, the texture is left as it is.

The overall effect is amazingly similar to small diamonds being pave set except there are no stones actually used. This means that if you are on a tighter budget, it is possible to achieve a pave setting effect at a greatly reduced cost - don't forget that pave set diamonds can always be added later on to your engagement ring.

Fake pave is similar to grain setting and is a traditional technique. The effect is very sparkly as the metal is distressed in different ways, thereby throwing the light all around.
