Our six designers - Harriet, Antoinette, Rebecca, Alice, Kerrie and Tracy - begin the process with a design consultation (face to face or on the phone) where they listen to your ideas, style preferences and budget, and add their own skill and design flair to produce the final working design.

Each person is different - if you have a strong idea about what you want our designers will work with you to bring your ring to life as a practical design. If you're at an earlier stage and haven't decided on details we will talk about styles you like, and perhaps draw inspiration from hobbies or aspects of your life to find the right design for you. Either way, our bespoke engagement rings are created strictly within your budget.

When the design is finalised it is passed over to our team of goldsmiths, headed by Richard, who has more than 35 years of experience in the trade. Alison, our project manager, makes sure we meet your important deadlines. Precious metal sourced from our bullion dealer is worked into shape in our workshops here in our barn in the Hertfordshire countryside. We source stones for you personally from our network of dealers around the world, using our expertise to get beautiful stones at good prices.

The shank (the band part) and collet (the clasp that holds the stone) are then formed and joined by hand - a skilled and time consuming process. The engagement ring is hallmarked at the London Assay Office guaranteeing its purity - a legal requirement in the UK. The stone is then set and the ring polished to its final finish.
