Sourcing your own Conflict Free Diamond

We are happy to design a piece of jewellery around your own gemstone, however you must make sure that any loose diamonds you buy come with Kimberley Process documentation, otherwise we won't work with them.

We have come across people who do not share our view on this and indeed one prospective customer told us that he did not care if the diamond was ethical or not so long as it was cheap! This is not our view and it does matter to us - we will not work with customer's own diamonds if there is a chance they are not ethically sourced.

For customers who want to source diamonds elsewhere, we require a written guarantee from their supplier that the stone is conflict free. Any reputable supplier will have no problem giving you this.

Reusing stones from existing jewellery is slightly different - there is no meaningful way of knowing their provenance and so we don't ask for that guarantee. In fact, particularly with heirloom jewellery this often feels like the most ethical choice.
