Eternity Ring Finish Choices

Polished

A traditional shiny polished finish.

Satinised

A matt effect finish - a real contrast to the highly polished traditional look. This finish will wear down to the natural dull shine of the precious metal but can be re-applied.

Rhodium Plated

This is a thin layer of rhodium (a bright white metal) that is applied to the surface of white gold to give the natural cream colour of white gold a more steely white colour. After time this plating will wear off to show the natural colour of white gold underneath but can easily be reapplied to your eternity ring.

Hammered

The surface of your eternity ring is hammered by hand to produce a textured and unique finish.

Pin End / Mood Dust

A brush with pins is put onto the polishing wheel and the eternity ring rubbed against this to produce a more textured satin finish which will wear off over time although not as quickly as a normal satin finish.

Tunstall / Crushed Diamond

This is new to the jewellery industry - a finish invented by Richard Tunstall (our chief goldsmith) - a more durable version of the pin end finish.

Ripple

We invented this finish for a customer a while ago - an organic water-like effect to the surface of the eternity ring which can be either then polished or satinised.

Wood Grain

A modern reworking of the traditional 'bark' effect finish.

Roman

Invented for a customer who was an archeologist - to create a kind of 'just dug up' look - the surface is randomly discressed by the goldsmith.
