Half Eternity Rings
A half eternity ring is one where the stones are set part of the way around the band (as against a full eternity ring where they are set all the way around).
How far the stones extend around the band is of course not set and depends upon the number of stones, the way they are set and the design in general.
Channel setting is a popular choice or invisibly setting each stone at an interval around the top of the band is also something that we do a great deal of here at Harriet Kelsall Jewellery Design.
Advantages of a half eternity ring style is that the band can be lighter (as it doesn't require the depth necessary to inset stones all the way around).
The choice of gemstones is of course yours and nowadays we aren't just limited to the tradition of only diamonds, prefering instead to set some coloured stones either alternating with diamonds or on their own.
Why not use the birthstones or astrological stones of your children, or perhaps a specific colour means something to you - the possibilities are endless.
