Alec Page
Alec studied Design for Film & Television at Nottingham Trent University where he was introduced to the world of contemporary design and directed on to a creative path. During this course he particularly enjoyed prop design and the opportunity to personalise props for individual characters. Managing scenic design projects from an initial idea through to realisation put him in good stead for a career in bespoke jewellery design!
With a drive to work in a creative role and pursue a career in design led work, he joined us at Harriet Kelsall Bespoke Jewellery in 2016. In his time he has quickly progressed to become a fully-fledged designer and valuable member of the Cambridge studio. Alec is fascinated by technical drawings where he can challenge his 3-dimensional mind. This has translated into his talent as a bespoke jewellery designer, where he can visualise even the smallest inspiration- a flower, a gemstone, a style- join them together, then create a sketch on the page. He can see the jewellery the way it will be worn and how it tells an individual person’s story or personality before it becomes the incredible 3-dimensional final piece.
Alec loves working in an environment where he can get to know the person for whom he’s designing and experience their excitement and emotion. Especially when they are part of the journey from an initial sketch to a beautiful piece of jewellery that is wholly unique to them.
