Gill's Celtic Thistle Inspired Necklace with Oval Tanzanite

Steve commissioned this necklace as a surprise for Gill's 50th. He wanted a design based around the family's Scottish and English roots, which had detail from all angles. The design starts in an intricate, hand-carved Celtic knot which flows out into the curve of a thistle leaf, and has been set with diamonds. The platinum then flows into a shape that caresses the edge of the central stone: Gill's birthstone, a tanzanite. The 2.41ct oval cut tanzanite is held in a setting which has been carefully worked into petals of a rose - a nod to the English side of the family. All made in platinum by hand and given a bright polished finish.
