Lou's Engagement Ring Inspired By St Ives Stormy Seas

The stormy seas in St Ives were the main inspiration behind Michael's engagement ring for Louise. The central teal sapphire is bicoloured and, just like the sea, carries amazing blues and green/grey hues depending on how the light reaches it. To mirror natural shapes of the coast, it is all around set with a millegrain edging and cut out detailing in the side to allow for light to pass through. CAD and cast in 9ct yellow gold, the rotationally symmetrical sweeping arms represent the motion of water with brilliant round cut diamonds and London blue topaz thread and grain set within them, reflecting the colour created in the ebbing and flowing sea. The combination of colours, shapes and beading details flawlessly capture the pair's sentimental location.
