The Sanskrit monosyllable represented in this pendant is pronounced aum (om).Om symbolises the Absolute - the very essence ofthe human being. The oldest and most venerated of all Hindu mantras is also employed in Buddhism and spiritual endeavour (Yoga). In addition to what it represents, the pendant is visually interesting. It is just under 30mm wide and about 25-30mm high from the top of the bail ring and has a hand-forged hammered finish. It sits on a 34 inch long hammered texture chain which catches the light beautifully. This versatile chain can be looped around twice, or worn long.
