Nadia's Tanzanite 'Clare's college' Cambridge Inspired Engagement Ring

James wanted to create a unique ring for Nadia he felt it was really important for the central stone to be a Tanzanite as both Nadia's parents and grandparents were born in Tanzania. James loved the idea of either a round or cushion cut Tanzanite, after exploring the options he chose the cushion cut as he wanted the design to be a bit more unique and move away from a classic design. The 0.44ct tanzanite was set in to a delicate 4 claw setting . He had one brilliant cut G-H VS1-2 (0.02ct) pave set in to each shoulder , surrounded by gaining detail. To make the ring even more personal James had cross and arrow detailing from the Clare's college Cambridge crest engraved on to the band of the ring and the King's college London motto engraved on to the inside of the ring as two universities played important parts in Nadia's life.
