Tia's wolf and fox inspired Fairtrade 9 carat white gold engagement ring

Steve visited many high street jewellers and could not find anything that he knew Tia would like so decided to look into to option of designing a bespoke ring for her. When Steve first came to visit us in our Hertfordshire studio, he had idea of using an orange sapphire and grey diamond to represent a fox and wolf.

After observing some of our gemstones from the cabinets Steve knew the round cut brown zircon was going to be the perfect stone to represent Tia. The round rose cut grey diamond Steve chose is slightly larger and of slight different shape which Steve loved as it portrays both their similarities and differences.

Steve and Tia first met each other in drama school and it was during an acting week that they had to imitate animal characteristics when Steve took on the role as a wolf. Tia used to have orange colour hair, a bit like a fox, and the reference to these animals has stuck with them ever since.

After talking with Steve it became clear that Tia would love a simple design that had some traditional aspects and therefore opted for the stones to be set into a four claw setting and to use 9 carat white gold as the metal. Steve appreciated the ethics of our company from how we source our gemstones and the choice to have a fairtrade option for the metal which he chose for Tia’s ring.
