Summer Event Success

The whole HK Bespoke team is buzzing today after such a fantastic summer event at the weekend.

There was a wonderful atmosphere across Fairclough Hall Farm as the Letchworth Garden City Classic and Vintage Car Club was hosting their annual car show and family picnic in the field adjoining our studio.  There was a great sense of community spirit as visitors went between our studio and the transport picnic, enjoying the vintage, classic and modern offerings in both locations- whether it was cars or jewellery!

With the doors of Harriet Kelsall Bespoke Jewellery wide open guests came flooding in to the sound of Chris Wright, a local musician who created a tranquil atmosphere with his acoustic guitar. With a glass of Pimms in hand, visitors made their way around the barn where they were greeted by our expert designers who were on hand to chat to them about bespoke commission ideas.

Will, Goldsmiths’ Apprentice, and Chung Shan, Senior Goldsmith were in the workshop doing live demonstrations and were kept busy polishing jewellery for the many guests who took up our free jewellery cleaning offer.

Meanwhile little hands and minds were kept busy in our children’s jewellery making workshops where they were shown how to make beaded key rings. It was such a beautifully sunny day that most of the children chose to make the ice cream key ring, longing for the beads to turn into the real thing! They then worked their way around the studio to complete a cryptic treasure hunt and word search all about jewellery.

The raffle was in aid of Fairtrade Foundation and raised lots of money on the day. We’re looking forward to announcing the winners this week!

After such a busy afternoon guests were delighted to take the weight of their feet with a delicious slice of cake and cup of coffee in our coffee shop. In support of Fairtrade, all of the cakes were made with Fairtrade ingredients, making them taste extra sweet!

A wonderful day for a great cause.
